“Peninsula Siblings” was a kids show I wanted to make. The idea came from wanting to revamp the characters from “Rachel and her Grandfather”, with the idea of having Rachel have 4 siblings based on my real life siblings. And then it snowballed like crazy. I worked on the pitch independently for 2 years and this was the culmination of the work I did before trying to take it around. It really means a lot to me and it’s a very emotionally driven project, it came out of wanting to pay tribute to my awesome hilarious talented genius siblings and our weird lives.

Here’s a 22 minute pilot animatic, written and storyboarded by Andrea Reyes, Yasmeen Abedifard, Kelly Ficarra and me. Music by Dylan Kanner with cello by Bella Pepke. Title card by Ala Flora

I developed 14 episodes, tons of animated gifs, a whole pitch bible, production schedules, writing process development, concept art and tons of other stuff, including a 22 minute animatic I made with my friends, which you just watched. My idea was that if I went into pitching totally prepared, with tons of proof that I could actually make the project, it would help me get something made- but I was wrong! It’s awesome anyway and I hope you like it.
